Job Summary:

We are looking for a Buffing Machine Operator responsible for performing metal surface finishing operations using buffing and polishing machines. The candidate should have hands-on experience in surface finishing and attention to detail to ensure high-quality results on metal components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate buffing and polishing machines to finish metal parts to required surface quality.

• Select suitable buffing wheels, compounds, and settings for various materials and finishes.

• Inspect workpieces before and after buffing for any defects.

• Maintain quality standards by adjusting pressure, speed, and angle during operations.

• Prepare surfaces for polishing by removing weld marks, rust, burrs, or scratches.

• Safely handle and transport components to and from the buffing station.

• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the work area and equipment.

• Follow safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Report defects, damages, or equipment issues to the supervisor.

• Record daily production details and report completed work.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10th Pass / ITI / Vocational training in Mechanical or related trade.

• Hands-on experience operating buffing or polishing machines.

• Basic knowledge of metals such as stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel.

• Physically fit to handle manual and repetitive tasks.

• Awareness of workplace safety and use of protective gear.

• Ability to work in dusty or noisy environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with various polishing compounds and abrasives.

• Experience in surface finishing within manufacturing or metal fabrication industries.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output.

• Willingness to work in shifts and overtime when required.
