Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Modeler with deep expertise in Snowflake-based Data Warehousing and a strong understanding of the retail domain, particularly in the clothing and apparel industry. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, refining, and optimizing data models to support reporting, analytics, and business decision-making across multiple brands.
Design and develop scalable, high-performance data models using Snowflake for enterprise-level data warehousing solutions.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and data engineering teams to understand data requirements and translate them into logical and physical data models.
Lead source-to-target mapping, dimensional modeling (star/snowflake schemas), and metadata management.
Ensure data consistency, integrity, and alignment across systems through robust data reconciliation and validation frameworks.
Optimize data models for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Support ongoing report development and data validation efforts across multiple retail brands.
Provide domain expertise in retail operations, merchandising, inventory, and sales analytics.
Document data models, definitions, and business rules for cross-functional understanding.
Mentor junior data modelers and analysts.
Proven experience in Snowflake data modeling and architecture.
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and dimensional modeling.
Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
Hands-on experience with SQL, DBT, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Deep domain knowledge in retail, especially clothing/apparel — including product hierarchies, SKU-level data, inventory management, and sales performance.
Experience working in Agile environments and cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks.
Exposure to reporting tools and BI platforms.
Prior experience working with global retail brands.
Knowledge of data analytics and machine learning.
Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate (or higher)
Certified Data Analyst or related certification
