Role Overview

The Executive – Prototype/Research Lab will manage operations of SINE’s biotechnology lab, ensuring safety, procurement, and equipment handling. The role supports startups and innovators within IIT Bombay’s entrepreneurial ecosystem by providing lab and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage BioLab operations, including equipment maintenance, safety compliance, and technical support.

• Oversee procurement: prepare technical specifications, evaluate bids, and coordinate with vendors for timely delivery and setup.

• Drive business development by onboarding startups, securing CSR funding, and fostering collaborations with corporates, industry bodies, and research organizations.

• Support startups in biotech/healthcare innovation through lab management and operational guidance.

Required Qualifications

• Postgraduate in Life Sciences, Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Environmental Science OR graduates/postgraduates in relevant fields.

• 1–3 years of experience in a laboratory setup within an incubator, research center, or educational institute.

• Hands-on experience with lab equipment and laboratory practices.

• Knowledge of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) standards.

• Strong MS Office skills (Excel preferred).

• Excellent communication, multitasking, and collaboration skills.

Work Mode
