Job Summary:
We are seeking a proacve, dynamic, and results-oriented professional to lead and execute the procurement of ash
handling, transporta on, and disposal contracts from thermal power plants. The ideal candidate will possess strong
domain experse in ash handling technologies, a well-established network within both government and private
sector power ues, and a proven track record in industrial project bidding and client acquision.
Experience in selling services or products—such as electrical/mechanical equipment, O&M soluons, consumables,
or logiscs—to thermal power plants is esseal.
Key Responsibilies:
Business Development:
• Idenfy and pursue new business opportunies in ash transporta on, handling, and disposal services within the
thermal power sector.
• Build and nurture strong relaonships with procurement and operaonal stakeholders in both government and
private thermal power ues.
• Leverage exisng industry connecons to idenfy and create aconable opportunies for ash handling and logiscs
services.
• Collaborate with operaons and technical teams to organize site visits and develop accurate cost esmates with
detailed cost breakdowns for proposals and tender submissions.
• Regularly monitor tender portals and industry updates for relevant opportunies in ash logiscs and related
services.
• Prepare pre-qualificaon documents, technical proposals, and commercial bids in coordina on with internal
engineering and finance teams.
• Ensure mely and compliant submission of all tender documents and proposals.
Client Engagement:
• Serve as the primary liaison for clients during pre-bid, bidding, and post-bid discussions.
• A end technical meengs and conduct site visits to thoroughly understand client requirements and align soluons
accordingly.
Contract Finaliza on:
• Lead negoaons on commercial terms, project melines, and scope of services.
• Work with internal legal and commercial teams to finalize agreements and contracts.
Cross-funconal Coordinaon:
• Coordinate closely with project execuon, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure service offerings align
with client expectaons and organizaonal capabilies.
Qualificaons:
• Any degree or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering; MBA in Markeng/sales/Business
Development/Operaons is an added advantage.
• 2–15 years of experience in business development, with a focus on selling to or working with thermal power plants.
• Proven experience in business development, sales, or procurement within the Thermal power or steel sector.
• Should have good database of Thermal Power plants / Cement / RMC / Mines
• Candidate who has sold any material, machinery to Thermal Power plant.
• Excellent communicaon, negoaon, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze tender documents and prepare compelling bids.
• Proacve approach with a strong network of industry contacts.
• Result-oriented with a focus on achieving targets.
