About the Role

Regal Rexnord’s IT team is seeking an experienced SAP Variant Configuration (VC) QA & Modeler to join our enterprise applications team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in SAP VC modeling, testing practices, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining robust VC models, leading quality assurance efforts, and ensuring the accuracy, scalability, and integrity of configurable product models within our global SAP and Salesforce environments. The role requires close collaboration with Digital Solutions, Engineering, IT, and Product Management teams to align solutions with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

VC Modeling & Maintenance:
- Design, build, and maintain SAP VC models across business units in Europe and North America.
- Hands-on creation, modification, and maintenance of VC objects such as:
  - Characteristics
  - Class 300/200/201
  - Variant Tables
  - Object Dependencies (Preconditions, Selection Conditions, Procedures)
  - Dependency Nets
  - Configuration Profiles with Interface Design
  - Material Master
  - Super BOMs (Bills of Material)
  - Super Routings
  - Variant Conditions for Pricing
Testing & QA:
- Develop and execute test strategies (functional, integration, and regression testing).
- Debug issues in VC functioning and support day-to-day operational problem-solving.
- Validate VC integration with SD, MM, PP, and other SAP modules for order fulfillment.
- Analyze integration flows (e.g., via MuleSoft) and troubleshoot input/output issues.
- Support UAT, smoke testing, and offshore/onshore teams in QA efforts.
Governance & Best Practices:
- Conduct model reviews to ensure compliance with VC best practices, business rules, and performance standards.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for VC logic, testing frameworks, and modeling standards.
- Mentor junior modelers and QA analysts, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Required:

5–7 years of SAP QA experience, including 2–3 years in SAP VC.
Strong expertise in SAP VC objects and dependencies (procedures, constraints, preconditions, selection conditions).
Solid understanding of SAP S/4HANA or ECC environments.
Hands-on experience in designing test strategies, validation, and debugging VC models.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.

Preferred (Not Mandatory):

Experience with SAP IPC or AVC.
Familiarity with Logik.ai and Salesforce CPQ.
Knowledge of SAP Product Configuration Lifecycle Management (PCLM).
Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps tools.
SAP certification in Variant Configuration or related modules.
