Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager with a strong background in agricultural machinery sales and dealer network management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving B2C sales through farmer engagement, expanding the B2B dealer network, and building strategic partnerships with government bodies and financial institutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive B2C sales by engaging farmers, cooperatives, and local communities through demonstrations, events, and outreach programs.
Expand the B2B dealer network by identifying, onboarding, and managing dealers to ensure strong sales channels and after-sales support.
Build and maintain partnerships with government agencies, institutions, and financing organizations to promote large-scale adoption of electric farming machinery.
Leverage government schemes and subsidies to enhance product accessibility for farmers.
Requirements:
6–10 years of experience in sales, preferably in agricultural machinery (tractors, tillers, drones, or farm equipment).
Experience in dealer management or regional/state-level sales roles.
Fluency in Marathi and strong communication skills.
Willingness to travel extensively across Maharashtra.
MBA or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Agricultural Engineering, or Agriculture.
Preferred Skills:
Dealer development and channel management.
Negotiation and strategic partnership building.
Below-the-line (BTL) marketing and demand generation.
Familiarity with the geography of North and South Maharashtra.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Candidates from product-based agricultural machinery companies (e.g., Mahindra, TAFE, John Deere, Sonalika) or agritech startups.
Self-motivated, passionate about sustainable farming, and comfortable working in field-based settings.
