Role Overview

We’re seeking a Technology Architect – Performance Testing to define and drive performance engineering strategy across enterprise systems. You’ll architect scalable performance testing solutions, embed non-functional validations into CI/CD, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure systems are resilient, meet SLAs and reliability goals. This role blends deep technical expertise with strategic leadership and client-facing solutioning.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Strategy

- Define performance testing reference architecture aligned to product and platform strategy.
- Design modular, scalable performance test frameworks using industry standard Load testing tools like JMETER, Performance Center & other tools
- Establish performance baselines, SLAs/SLOs, and integrate performance gates into CI/CD pipelines.

-Review the application architecture & define the overall performance Test strategy

- Introduce service virtualization, test data management (TDM), and ephemeral environment strategies.

-Review, Analyze & Validate NFRs

DevOps & Observability

- Embed performance testing into CI/CD (Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps).
- Leverage APM tools like AppDynamics, Dynatrace, New Relic, Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana for application performance monitoring and analysis. Identify root causes for performance issues and provide performance tuning recommendations.
- Implement observability for performance tests (structured logs, trace IDs, metrics dashboards).
- Drive governance for performance regressions and root-cause analysis.

Cloud & Distributed Systems

- Design cloud-native performance test execution (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Validate Performance & Resilience for distributed systems (CDC-Kafka/event-driven), microservices, and serverless architectures.
- Integrate chaos testing and resilience validations into performance strategy.

Leadership & Client Orientation

- Run architecture reviews, coach performance engineers, and build communities of practice.
- Partner with Product/Engineering to shape performance roadmaps and support client workshops.
- Translate performance risks into clear, executive-ready narratives and remediation plans.

-Exposure to working in Large RFPs/RFIs

Must-Have Qualifications

- 13+ years in QA/Performance Testing/Engineering with experience in defining Performance Test Strategy, designing performance frameworks & Performance tuning
- Expert in JMETER, Performance Center, Dynatrace, and Java-based performance scripting.
- Hands-on with CI/CD, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud runners.
- Proven experience with microservices performance testing, service virtualization, and TDM.
- Strong systems thinking, root-cause analysis, and data-driven decisioning.

Good-to-Have Skills

- Gatling, K6, Blaze Meter, Neo Load, Open Telemetry integration.
- Domain: BFSI, Healthcare, Retail, or Telecom.
- Certifications: AWS/Azure/GCP, Dynatrace, ISTQB Advanced.
